MISSION - CENTRAL TO OUR CHURCH
Service is an important part of Ocean View Presbyterian's view of being part of Christ's church - To that end, our church family is very involved in local, national, and international mission. These mission projects take various forms; face-to-face interaction with the community, participation in church-wide projects, and monetary giving. Below are just a few examples of our outreach.
water4
water4 is a 3-year commitment entered into by the Women's Circle to bring clean water to areas in Africa by training local communities to drill their own wells and install hand operated pumps. So far, we have far exceeded our goals and have already raised enough to buy 3 wells!

Known to us as just 'The Pyle Center' we support their community food pantry by having a basket in the back of the sanctuary as a permanent fixture so our members and visitors can drop off non-perishable foods as they come to worship. Monetary contributions are also accepted.
Renaissance Center Hymn Sing
Every month a group of members joins the patients in the Alzheimer's wing of the Renaissance Rehabilitation Center for a hymn sing. It's a joyous time for all as we worship together through song and an experience that we certainly carry with us when we leave.
In addition to the hymn sing, the Deacons also send greeting cards signed by the congregation and visit patients that have no family and participate pizza parties, and celebrations hosted by the center.
Milford Housing Development Corporation
We work with MHDC to offer home repair to qualified individuals. The projects vary in size and complexity just as our experience and talents do but 'Herbs Gang' is always available to help.
