THE SESSION OF OCEAN VIEW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

The Session is the ruling body of the church responsible for not only the business side of things but also making sure that the spiritual needs of the congregation are met.  The Session of OVPC consists of six Ruling Elders that are elected by the congregation.  Each Elder is elected to a 3-year term and is not permitted to serve more than 2 consecutive terms.  The Session elects a Clerk who is responsible for maintaining the minutes and records of the church.  All meetings of Session are moderated by the Pastor or an approved substitute either invited by the Pastor or assigned by Presbytery.
